Rice Krispie Treat Pizza

This is one of those recipes that makes you say "Now why didn't I think of that?!"  Rice Krispie Treat Pizza is everything you love about Rice Krispie Treats plus frosting and candy.  Seriously.  Why didn't I think to do that?  My boys LOVED eating their pizza.  Lincoln was especially excited about the frosting being like the cheese and kept talking about it they way almost 4 year olds do :) 

I wanted to use a combination of Rice Krispies and  Fruity Pebbles for this but ended up running out of both of them and so I added in some Corn Flakes as well.  I didn't measure the cereal amounts I used, but you all know how to make Rice Krispie Treats and I've listed the amounts from the original recipe :)  I wouldn't recommend using all Fruity Pebbles, when you add the frosting and the candies I think it would just be too sweet. (Yes, I can't believe I said that!)

Rice Krispie Treat Pizza  Source: Cookies and Cups

Ingredients:

8 cups Rice Krispie cereal

4 cups Fruity Pebbles

1 stick butter

2 (10.5 oz) bags mini marshmallows

frosting

candy

*I made 1/2 a recipe for a 12" pizza pan

Directions:

1.  Combine cereals in a bowl.  Spray a 16" pizza pan with cooking spray.

2. Make Rice Krispie Treats using your preferred method (I like to use the microwave).

3. Pile Rice Krispie & marshmallow mixture onto the prepared pizza pan.  

4. Spray your hand with cooking spray or use waxed paper to smooth and spread the mixture into the pan.

5. Top with frosting.

6. Decorate with your favorite candy.
